What a weekend! In addition to our 5 training sessions, Mallory & I had the pleasure of attending the PAWS Chicago Fur Ball over the weekend. It is a wonderful cause that we were happy to support. Thanks to the work of PAWS, 70% of Chicagoland homeless animal shelters are now no-kill environments.
The PAWS gala was not only an opportunity to support homeless pet’s find their forever home, but it was an opportunity for us to get cleaned up and get out of gym cloths.
The weekend wasn’t only filled with glitz and glamour, the rest of the grueling training weekend filled with training sessions and posing practice. We are firing on all cylinders as we edge closer and closer to hitting the stage in Atlantic City, now only 17 days away.
But we won’t be going anywhere if we don’t make our fundraising goal of $3,000 before we leave for Atlantic City. We need your help! We are fundraising to help fight childhood obesity in America, an epidemic that affects 1/3 of our nations children. We are donating all proceeds to Partnership for a Healthier America, an organization dedicated to educating families, children, and schools on nutrition and fitness.
If you have already donated thank you! You are supporting a noble cause, and appreciate your support of our Journey to Atlantic CIty! If you haven’t donated, please join our Journey to the Stage and donate on our Indiegogo page, every dollar helps!
This week’s goals are to continue increasing our training frequency, decreasing food intake and maintaining the motivation to give 100 percent to reach our goal. We are so close but need your help to get there!
As always – thank you for the support!
