97 Days out: Travel & Shoulder training

Traveling rarely makes it easier to get training in Рbut no one said it would be easy.  Really enjoyed going to the game but it does make it difficult to get back into the routine. After 6 hours in the car, went to work for a few hours then got my training in.

On a side note, my food has not been as tight as i would like it – that doesn’t mean I have been making poor nutritional¬† choices – though I did crush a bag of kettle corn like it was my job at the game on Saturday – I have just missing some meal timings, and macros have been a bit off – I am looking forward to getting back to routine. As my friend David Johnson said the other day – “the one thing I see among all physique competitors is the ability to remain consistently consistent” – He’s right – its not about having a bad day today and over reacting by cutting calories and over training tomorrow – its about getting right back to the routine – reaching the point where the routine, training, meal prep, etc becomes a comfort and feels good is a huge step in process – this is what coaches mean when they say “enjoy the process” – The show is just the culmination of your consistent prep – a chance to showcase your hard work – The goal should be to bring the best shape you can by remaining as consistent as possible in your prep and enjoying the journey.
